C-Jade Express at Mid Valley
EL, hungering for some sau niuk (Chinese Roast Pork), took us to C-Jade Express where she had heard they made really nice roast pork. One of the specialities here is the Korean Stone Rice, but we decided to go for 1 serve of Chinese Roast Pork and duck, vegetables, and rice.
As time progressed, we noticed that we were either seated underneath the air conditioning or that it was just almost reaching Arctic temperature. We had no idea why it was so cold though.
Finally our meals came out… and we were so disappointed. The Roast Pork (RM$13.90) was the smallest (but leanest) roast pork serving I’ve ever seen in my entire life. The crackling was not crunchy either. FT commented that the roast pork needed more fat. That’s probably the first time I’ve ever heard a woman say that something she ate needed more fat content.

The duck was really quite bony… also possibly the skinniest, boniest duck meat we’ve ever eaten in our lives. Fortunately the vegetables were ok, but once again, the serving was really small.

We got out of there as fast as we could. Either we came on a bad day, their supplier was angry at them, or they are just simply plain bad. I may come back again to try their Korean food, but I doubt it.

That pork was probably taken out of the cooler and reheated. Man, what a ripoff.
Hope you find better pork somewhere else!
lol it probably was! that’s probably why they turned the air con down on us so we would freeze to try and distract us from the bad quality food.
fortunately we did find good pork elsewhere in our travels in KL.
