Slurping Soup at Sushi King

Normally, I do try and support my family and friend’s business efforts. But as I was sick from lunch at Prince Cafe and had no where else to eat, I made the exception and ate at my family friend’s rival Japanese food chain, Sushi King. It was Esther’s theory was that Sushi King was healthy and would soothe my ills.

Sushi King is a kaiten sushi bar which features a conveyor belt with sushi dishes that you can choose to eat. It also seems to heavily feature wood in its design, but not much else colour. I guess installing the conveyor belt cost too much. ;)

I don’t really recall what Esther and FT ate, mainly because I was so out of it. But from this picture, I gather FT ate some kind of set menu with miso soup, meat and vegetables.

I had the Sukiyaki Nabe, because “It’s a warm and healthy soup, with noodles and vegetables”. I just ate what I was made to eat. The Sukiyaki Nabe consisted of noodles with beef, tofu, and onion in a beautiful warm and tasty broth. After a few slurps of the slipper noodles and broth, I was feeling much better.

Who would’ve thought that Sukiyaki would have soothed my ills? Thanks Esther! Sushi King’s Sukiyaki Nabe gets 2 thumbs up from me.
